Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF is one of our most important fundraisers of the year. It’s the perfect opportunity for your Circle K club to make a difference in the lives of women and babies around the world as we work together to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus. Just US$1.80—less than the cost of a bag of Halloween candy—provides a series of three doses of vaccine, which protects a mother and her future newborns.

If your club participated in Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF in 2013 or 2014, a box of supplies has already been shipped to you. If your club didn’t receive it or if your club didn’t participate in the past two years, your advisor can order boxes from the Kiwanis store now.
What can I say when I am trick-or-treating?
Let potential donors know how important their donation is and thank them. You could say, “I am part of ________________ (name of your university/Circle K), and I am participating in Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF. All donations are being used to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus around the world. Every $1.80 pays for the necessary vaccines to protect a mother and her future newborns. Would you like to donate?”
What else can we do, besides go door to door?
It doesn’t take much money or time to create a successful Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF fundraiser. Consider one of these ideas—or come up with your own!
What if it’s too late to order boxes?
Don’t worry! You can print out Trick-or-Treat labels or make your own displays to let everyone know about your club’s activities and opportunities to donate.

When your fundraising is done, send a check or money order (payable to the Kiwanis International Foundation) and your completed gift form to:

With the participation of all Kiwanis Service Leadership Program members, including Circle K members, the goal is to raise more than US$1 million for Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF in 2015, to save or protect more than 555,555 lives. Will you take part?
