Good day today on the road!
Forrest & I made the snow-y trek up I-59 to Jacksonville State University to meet with a great group of Circle Kers from JSU & Gadsden State. Honestly, I can’t say enough how impressed I was with their dedication and their engagement. What they lack in number, they make up for in caring for our organization and service as a whole. They really turned today’s meeting into more a townhall meeting, with some incredibly in-depth and knowledgeable questions about our direction as the Alabama District and some hard decisions that have been made in the previous month. I enjoyed hearing directly from the members, our individuals directly on the ground, how they felt so many integral parts of CKI. We can build on that, and, together, we can move forward beyond all of our hang-ups for a bigger & bigger Circle K.
You may have noticed that this is the first real blog post since alabamacki.org relaunched, and you’re probably wondering what I actually intend to use this space for. If I have to be totally honest, I don’t have a direction in mind for these. I just want to be honest, I want to show you the hardwork & dedication your District Board exhibits, and I want to start conversations that hopefully help you better serve and lead back in your local clubs.
With that, on this cold Saturday, welcome to the new alabamacki.org & thanks for reading this first post on the “Board Blog.”
Yours in dedicated service,
Kyle D. Pierce
